According to Hoyle: Classic Rock
Jon Stafford has been singing since the early 1970s. His hometown band, Johnny Radial and the Retreads, had a successful following of "Tread Heads" in central Iowa. Having spent 15 years in Minneapolis, learning guitar and hearing great bands, is groundwork for an exciting Des Moines project.
"ATH" "According to Hoyle" is inspired by Jerry Mogensen, the accordionist at First Christian Church near Drake University. Jerry began to play at age 7, studied at the Professional Music Center, and won the State Championship twice as well as the US Championship. He has performed with the Chieftains.
The rhythm section are Jon's work mates at Rieman Music. Dave Krogan, a Master of Music from Northern Iowa University, has played with professional bands for over 30 years. Mark Monroe has a degree in Vocal Music and is our talented drummer. He has been around the Des Moines music scene for sometime.
They make up a fun, class rock and roll collaboration that is passionate, serious and stylistic.
